ROWING BLAZERS FALL/WINTER ’22

ROWING BLAZERS FALL/WINTER ’22

On the heels of our recent collaboration with SEGA celebrating Sonic the Hedgehog comes the first drop in our sprawling Fall/Winter ’22 collection — including an accompanying lookbook.

For the new collection — which will be released in several drops over the course of the season — we’re leaning into some of our signature materials and styles: wide-wale corduroy, tweeds, tartans, colorful rugby stripes, knits, flannels, and graphic sweats and tees for both women and men.

Included are new pieces from two of our most popular collections celebrating some of Creative Director Jack Carlson’s favorite childhood characters: Winnie-the-Pooh and Babar the Elephant. Also represented are Nantucket’s legendary Murray’s Toggery Shop, with whom we’ve been partnering since 2018 (including our ongoing pop-up shop at their flagship store), and two heritage British knitwear brands beloved by Princess Diana: Shetland sweaterscardigans, and a crocheted bucket hat featuring the brand’s iconic “Black Sheep” motif from Warm & Wonderful, and a capsule of retro unisex novelty jumpers created by Gyles & George (and based on designs from the duo’s 80s knitting pattern books).

The accompanying lookbook — shot on location at The Explorers Club (of which Jack is a member) by photographer Phoenix Johnson — previews a slew of forthcoming collaborations that round out the collection: British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall (with whom we first partnered in 2018; American heritage footwear brand Sperry; Charleston-based artisanal bag-maker J. Stark; legendary Boston-based headwear brand 47; and a much-anticipated second capsule with Japanese watch brand Seiko (last year’s debut collaboration sold out within a matter of minutes).

Our tailored program is expanding to include historical tartans for both men and women, while our most iconic fabrics — including super-soft Italian wide-wale corduroypatchwork tweed, and our Gun Club Check [link to PLP] — will be launched in ready-to-wear (as opposed to made-to-order) for the first time in two years. Other new styles include a black hoodie with hand-embroidered goldwork bees; a capsule of dark and cryptic basics featuring an “N.O.Y.F.B.” motif; a collection of tees and sweats with classic “bubble letters” inspired by ubiquitous notebook doodles; tartan flannel shirts; several new sweaters, including a beautiful Fair Isle vest, an embroidered ski sweater, and a bird’s-eye Jacquard-knit “Roses” crewneck; British-made schoolboy scarves; and more.

Along with these new styles, we’re also re-launching some of our most popular fall classics — including our Hockney and Jagger rugbies; deep-pile Sherpa “Jockey” fleeces; Canadian-made knit beanies featuring popular locations (made in partnership with City of Neighbourhoods); tartan scarves and neckties; and more.

The first drop of our Fall/Winter ’22 collection is available now, both here on our site and at the new Rowing Blazers Flagship at 8 Rivington Street in New York.
