The Original Sheep Sweater (A Princess Diana favorite)

Princess Diana's iconic "sheep sweater" - famously worn by the late Princess of Wales at a series of polo matches during the 1980s - was designed by Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir. They started their label, cheerfully named Warm and Wonderful, in 1979, when they were in their twenties, and began by selling sweaters from a market stall in London’s Covent Garden. They counted David Bowie, Andy Warhol, and, of course, Diana, among their fans.

The first time the Princess wore their sweater in public, they were inundated with orders. Their postman, Joanna and Sally recall, had to start delivering their mail in giant sacks. While the sheep sweater had been copied many times over the years, it was important to us to work with the original designers to bring it back, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Joanna and Sally for working with us!

Now the sheep sweater seems to be going viral once again. We have completely sold out our initial run, and we have now sold out of two additional batches that we placed online for pre-order. But good news: we have just added another pre-order batch — for both men and women — to our website for delivery in January-February. Each sweater takes approximately six hours to make, and they are made and delivered on a first-come, first-served basis.
