The Gargoyle Hat

100% of the proceeds from the sales of this hat will be split evenly between the NAACP and the Robin Hood Relief Fund.

2020 has been a tumultuous year in anyone’s book. Our friend, former elite oarsman and legendary woodcarver Roman Horoszewski (@rhcarving) was inspired by current events to carve a gargoyle for a good cause.

“For centuries gargoyles have been used to drive away evil spirits,” Roman shared. “So there's no better time than now to put this time- honored symbol back to work, driving the ‘evil spirits’ of coronavirus and racism from society,  and hopefully become a modern day symbol against all kinds of evils: racism, misogyny, nativism, ignorance, disease, and poverty to name a few.”

We are releasing a limited edition gargoyle hat based on Roman’s sculpture. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this hat will be split evenly between the NAACP and the Robin Hood Relief Fund - both of which are organizations we believe in and have supported previously.

Additionally, by purchasing one of these hats, you will be automatically entered to win the actual gargoyle sculpture.

Roman works on commission, carving gargoyles, wooden plaques, and more. For more information or to commission your own gargoyle, email rhcarving@gmail.com.
