We’re proud to be carrying one of our favorite American heritage brands in our online store (and at the Rowing Blazers Clubhouse in Manhattan when we re-open!). View the collection here.
Founded in 1973 by a group of All-American collegiate squash and tennis players, Boast was created as the American answer to traditional European tennis brands.

With its irreverent attitude and subtly subversive approach to sport, Boast shares some of the same ethos that guides Rowing Blazers.
The ‘70s were a time of individuality. In tennis, it was an era of rebels who dominated the courts and culture at large. Like the American icons of the era, Boast developed a healthy sense of rebellious irreverence.

Boast's celebrated logo- a Japanese Maple leaf (sometimes mistaken for another type of leaf) - has been spotted on piqué tennis shirts and warm-ups sported by the likes of John McEnroe, Donald Young, John Updike, George W. Bush, and, of course, Joel Goodsen — Tom Cruise’s character in Risky Business.
