ARC EN CIEL BY LESPORTSAC

We’re excited to offer select items from the Arc en Ciel collection by LeSportsac on rowingblazers.com. LeSportsac has been making dynamic and versatile bags and travel accessories since its founding in 1974, and the brand recently introduced Arc en Ciel, a playfully nostalgic collection of iconic rip-stop nylon styles designed by Rowing Blazers founder and Creative Director Jack Carlson. The selection includes bucket bags, zip totes, shoulder bags, tennis bags, lanyards, and laptop cases.

Jack Carlson explains, “When LeSportsac reached out to me about working with them to create a new line within the nearly 50-year-old brand, I couldn’t have been more excited. I thought about what LeSportSac means to me… It’s from the ‘70s, but it’s timeless. It’s an American brand with a European name (and a global, cosmopolitan feeling). It’s elevated, up in the sky, but practical and light — almost weightless. I came up with the name Arc En Ciel — French for rainbow — based on these concepts, and pored over vintage LeSportSac ads and archival products for inspiration.

Arc En Ciel launched nearly a year ago on the LeSportsac site, and our series of campaign videos featuring Charlotte D’Alessio and directed by Connor Brashier and Sam Dameshek have been seen around the world. But now for the first time, we are launching Arc En Ciel on the Rowing Blazers site, bringing together two major projects of mine.

The Arc En Ciel range features premium hardware and construction, and is produced in limited quantities. I’m very proud of this project and of what we’ve created together.”
