  • The Slim d’Hermès helped put the company on the map in the watch world upon its introduction in 2015 at Baselworld. With a custom typeface as well as elegant case size and lugs for its 39.5mm diameter, it became for many watch collectors the first modern Hermès watch that was extremely desirable. This is a steel version of the original model with beautiful sunburst grey dial.

This watch is certainly for the detail oriented collector that loves minimalist design. The interior section of the dial features the very faintest of concentric circles which are indiscernible from the naked eye. Under a loupe, they are really stunning and one can’t help but respect the “fashion” brand’s commitment to understated elegance. The baton hands are another highlight that warrants recognition. They’re divided by a mirror polish vs frosted surface. Upon the intersection of the hands, it makes for a memorable moment to appreciate each hour.

The case diameter is 47mm lug-to-lug. It is paired with a 20mm Wind Vintage calfskin strap (made by Nick Gabarro). The micro-rotor movement is based on a Piaget 12P which is decorated to feature the Hermès monogram.

Hermès’ history as a retailer is largely under acknowledged and perhaps even misunderstood by those who are focused more on a horological level. However with models such as these, there the brand has a bright future and hopefully will continue to create romantic timepieces for those looking for something a bit off the beaten path.

  • Vintage watches are mechanical objects that can require service of the movements and all these watches have been worn in the past. Since these pieces are vintage or pre-owned, please expect wear and patina from past usage and age.

Mechanical watches do not keep perfect time like a battery-powered watch. In addition, they do require service occasionally and the service can be somewhat costly depending on what the watch requires for optimal timekeeping. Similar to vintage and new automobiles, regular maintenance and care is recommended for the lasting reliability of your timepiece.

Vintage watches are not water resistant and not waterproof, unless rigorously tested and certified otherwise. If dunked in water, the watch can flood and be destroyed. Water can also enter the watch in high humidity environments and damage the movement and dial as well as hands. We suggest not swimming with vintage watches or taking them in a sauna or similarly humid environment.

If dropped, mishandled or otherwise abused, the movement or other parts of the watch can be damaged. Please handle with care.

Care has been taken to try to ensure the watches are running and in good condition. Please note that all watches and items are offered and sold "as is". We hope you enjoy this item and wear it in good health for years to come!
