  • Super heavyweight (400g / 14 oz.) red and cream striped rugby jersey with embroidered cherry blossoms. Handmade in Europe. 100% cotton, knitted in the traditional 12 gauge style. Stunning material and craftsmanship. Feels incredible.

  • Rugby collar; three-button placket; gorgeous rib knit cuffs.

  • More fitted than our dad rugbies and soccer shirts. We recommend sizing up for a looser fit.

  • While rugby is an old sport in Japan (the nation's first rugby club, Yokohama Football Club, was established in 1866), the first national team was only created in 1930. Their first international match was in Vancouver, but it was on the 31st of January, 1932, that the "Cherry Blossoms" played at home for the first time. In a packed Hanazono Rugby Stadium, in front of some 25,000 triumphant spectators, they won this first home match: 9 to 8, against the Canadians. In collaboration with Sports D'Epoque.
