Esprit Sports Diving Watch
A very rare Esprit fiberglass and rubber manual wind sports diving watch with date function at the 3 o'clock position. This highly unusual and fabulous looking Swiss watch was made for watersports, and was designed to float if separated from its owner. Although not recommended now to take to the water, everything about this watch screams summer by the beach. The asymmetrical red fiberglass case with tuna embossed onto the back. The waterproof rubber strap, that on the inside has two dancing seahorses, and a number of octopus-looking suckers, along with a trident embossed into the pin buckle. The radiant blue metallic dial, marked at the 6 o'clock position "T Swiss T" and set with the original coloured Tritium lume (similar to what Omega was doing at the time), is in good condition and catches the sunlight wonderfully. The dial is surrounded by an hour bi-rotational diving bezel, still working well. The watch is powered by a manual wind 17 jewel Swiss made movement. This particular piece, with its unusual case manufacturing, is a notable addition to the watch design annals.
