Seiko 43mm stainless steel automatic dive watch, 2003Foundwell vintage - $375
Seiko 43mm stainless steel automatic dive watch, 2003Foundwell vintage $375
A Seiko 43mm stainless steel automatic dive watch. This is another, more contemporary, edition of the classic, and much loved Seiko dive watch that started back in 1963. This is the SKX007 model, that essentially came in the 7548 at the end of 1978, and was the first Quartz diver. This model, that came after the 7002, was launched in 1996 and is an ISO-compliant dive watch for the best value in the market. The thick, single-piece stainless case back with crown guard, protecting the screw-down crown at the distinctive 4 o'clock position, is bold, and yet wears well. The Uni-directional rotating diver timing bezel is complete with a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position, to easily help navigate in dark waters. The very bold round and pill shape markers are clearly divided by the large triangle at 12 and are very clear at night with the proprietary Seiko lume material. The sword and arrow hands are bold and also glow brightly. The quick-set date function at the 3 o'clock position stands out well against the black dial, with the day wheel glowing blue under UV. The watch is in excellent original condition and complete with its original box and papers on the original band. A future classic. Curated by Foundwell.
