Notes

A solid gold stick pin featuring the Royal Yacht Squardron burgee flag, with blue painted canton which means the bearer of the pin permitted by the Admiralty to wear this particular flag denoting rank of certain officers, or club membership. The technique used to make the flag is a very old reverse intaglio, or 'Essex' crystal technique wherein which a piece of rock crystal is carved into a cabochon round shape with flat back, and then hand carved and hand painted in reverse from the back. This gives it a three dimensional quality. It is then backed with mother of pearl to radiate more colour and light from the solid back of the piece. Curated by Foundwell.
Ships separately. Please allow an additional 7-10 days for delivery.
