Men’s navy blue wool flannel blazer featuring a 3-roll-2 silhouette, three patch pockets, grosgrain trim, and a cross-stitched Latin cri-de-guerre embroidered under the lapel. Cut to the original 1852 blazer pattern and named for the year the word "blazer" entered the English lexicon, meaning at that time, only a very specific rowing jacket.

Years of research, travel, interviews, and vintage recon went into my book, and this blazer is the beneficiary. It isn't a glorified sport coat with grosgrain trim. The devil is in the details: the effortless roll of the lapel and three-roll-two expression; the hidden-stitch patch pockets; the unlined back and the brushed flannel finish; even the interior back panel, which is hand-cut with pinking shears. The blazer comes with a cloisonné buttonhole badge, handmade in England from vitreous enamel, and cross-stitched Latin under the lapel.
