Stan Earth & Striped Mud Cloth JacketOne of a Kind Stan Jacket $498
This workwear jacket was made from a West African decorative mudcloth. This mudcloth was made by a family in the western parts of africa, where a small village hand dyes and stitch these decorative pieces. It is a centuries old, hand-dyed textile art that originated in West Africa, then was popularized throughout other parts of the globe. Authentic mud cloth takes two to three weeks to make by applying one to two coats of color-rich mud to undyed cloth. The patterns in the authentic creations often have names and meanings that are rich in history.
Two front pockets, five chalk buttons. All idiosyncrasies, mending, and wear are unique to the original textile. Tailor made in Los Angeles. Dry clean only. All sales are final.
